Travel Music

Tragedy strikes: I have only 4 songs on my iPhone. You see, I went through considerable effort picking out which albums I wanted on the iPhone according to the space available and synced it too. My friends that were present while I stressed and shouted can vouch for this. However, it turns out that my computer hates me and somehow no songs were transferred. Apple lets me re-download from iTunes any purchased music, so after that process I now officially have four songs on my iPhone. Two of those songs may or may not be by a certain Lady GaGa. For a six hour bus ride this is criminal!! I guess my only option is to buy music (that I've probably already bought on CD) on iTunes so I can add music wirelessly.

I've thought before about which albums/bands I consider "must haves" if I were stuck on an island and could only take three, but now that I'm faced with the real choice I feel stuck. My music tastes have really evolved over the last couple of years. Do I pick blues? Metal? Indie rock? More lady gaga?

What albums would you want with you while you travel? How many would you buy?

What do you recommend I buy? I have a couple in mind but would love to see if anyone else guesses them!

Much love,

Katie

  1. Buy a walkman and some awesome cds wherever you are. =D Or read a book.

  2. I agree. Take the plunge and buy whatever happens to be popular in the country you are in, or get a radio...

  3. Sucky situation, but my current top 5 for travel would be:

    Neil Young
    Arcade Fire
    Yann Tiersen
    The Head and the Heart
Alabama Shakes or Grace Potter & the Nocturnals (some booty-shakin' tunes)

Oh, and definitely some blues. :)
